A little bit about me...
Hi, I'm Pam Kingsley. Actress, playwright and director. Originally from the Finger Lakes of New York, I now live in the Pacific Northwest. I have worked for theatres across the U.S. from New York to Indianapolis to Seattle, Spokane and the Bay Area (CA). My plays have been produced in London (UK) and by theatres around the country including Asheville NC, Boston, Chicago, Cleveland, Kansas City, Los Angeles, Louisville, NYC, Minneapolis, New Haven, Grosse Pointe (MI), Rochester (NY), San Francisco, Santa Fe, and Spokane, among others. Minister of Sorrow won the top prize at the 2023 Appalachian Playwriting Festival (North Carolina); Mother's Day was a 2019 finalist for the James Stevenson Prize for Short Comedic Plays and won the "Audience Choice" Award at the 31st Playwrights' Forum Festival in the Pacific Northwest; Boxes won the "Audience Choice" Award at the 32nd Playwrights' Forum Festival in 2022. I have a BFA in Theatre Performance and MA in Theatre Education and have taught throughout the Pacific Northwest. Member: Dramatists Guild of America, NPX, Women Playwrights Honor Roll. Commercial work includes talent for Rosauers, Safeway, Atlas Van Lines, The Crescent, Bon Marché, Frederick & Nelson, Coeur d'Alene Resort, University City Shopping Mall, Honda City, Spear's Furniture, United Way, among others.
